DIAFRAGMA Ltd. is a company registered under the Commercial Act of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Scope and applicability
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between DIAFRAGMA Ltd. (the "Lessor") and any individual or legal entity (the "Renter") who uses the tovari.me website or requests a vehicle rental.
By submitting a booking, the Renter confirms they have read, understood and accepted these terms in full. The terms apply regardless of how the booking was made — online, by phone, or in person.
The service is available to persons aged 18 or over who hold a valid category B driving licence (for self-drive rentals).
Booking and confirmation
A booking is considered a request until explicitly confirmed by the Lessor via email or phone. The automated system response is only an acknowledgement of receipt, not a confirmation of the booking itself.
The Lessor reserves the right to decline a booking without explanation in cases of: vehicle unavailability, incomplete or invalid details, or suspected misuse.
Upon confirmation, the Renter receives an email containing a unique booking code, vehicle details, rental period and total price.
Every booking is personal and may not be transferred to a third party without the Lessor's explicit written consent.
Pricing and payment
All prices are in Euros (EUR) and are set according to the tariff in force at the time of booking confirmation.
Rate tiers:
- 1–3 days — standard daily rate
- 4–6 days — reduced daily rate
- 7+ days — weekly rate
The rental is calculated based on actual elapsed 24-hour time. Every hour beyond the paid period (with 1 hour grace) is charged at €5/hour, capped at the cost of rounding up to the next full day — whichever is cheaper for the Renter.
Included kilometres: 200 km/day. Every kilometre over the limit is charged at €0.15/km, payable on return.
Delivery to a Sofia address: €15. Outside Sofia: €0.50/km each way.
Payment is due in cash at vehicle pickup, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Deposit
A refundable deposit of €150 is collected at vehicle pickup. The deposit covers any damages, excess kilometres, or late return charges. It is fully refunded when the vehicle is returned in good condition and on time.
The deposit is not deducted from the rental price.
The deposit may be partially or fully withheld in cases of:
- Damage to the vehicle beyond normal wear and tear
- Kilometres over the included limit (€0.15/km)
- Late return exceeding the 1-hour grace period (€5/hour)
- Soiling requiring specialist cleaning
- Lost keys or documents
If charges exceed the deposit amount, the Renter owes the difference.
Cancellation and refund policy
The cancellation policy applies from the moment of confirmed booking, measured against the scheduled pickup time:

Cancellations must be made by email to rent@tovari.me or by phone at +359 886 014 847. The cancellation date and time is the moment the Lessor receives the message.
If the Lessor cancels (e.g. due to mechanical failure), the Renter receives a full refund of all amounts paid within 5 business days.
Note: This policy has been drafted for clarity. We recommend legal review before implementing online payments.
Conditions of use
The Renter agrees to:
- Only drive the vehicle with a valid category B licence and be at least 18 years of age
- Not drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any medication affecting driving ability
- Not sublet the vehicle or allow it to be driven by persons not named at booking
- Not travel outside the Republic of Bulgaria without prior written consent
- Take good care of the vehicle and return it in the same condition
- In the event of an accident or incident — immediately notify the Lessor and relevant authorities
- Not use the vehicle to transport illegal goods or for any unlawful purpose
The vehicle is checked at pickup and return for fuel level, damage and mileage. Any discrepancies found at return will be charged against the deposit.
Liability and damages
The Renter bears full responsibility for all damage caused to the vehicle or third parties during the rental period, including while parked.
Third-party liability insurance (задължителна застраховка ГО) is included. The Renter must comply with all policy conditions; non-compliance may result in the insurer declining coverage.
The Lessor is not liable for:
- Lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings left in the vehicle
- Delays caused by traffic, weather or mechanical failures beyond the Lessor's control
- Indirect or consequential losses suffered by the Renter
The Lessor's maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid by the Renter for that specific booking.
Privacy and personal data (GDPR)
DIAFRAGMA Ltd. is a data controller under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Bulgarian Personal Data Protection Act.
Data we collect: At booking — full name, email address, phone number. When you visit the site — anonymised traffic data via Google Analytics 4.
How we use it:
- Processing and confirming bookings
- Sending rental-related emails and notifications
- Fulfilling legal obligations (accounting, tax)
- Improving the service through anonymous analytics
Retention: Booking data is retained for 5 years due to accounting obligations. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings.
Third-party sharing: We do not sell or share personal data with third parties, except: Google LLC (Analytics) and any payment provider introduced when online payments are enabled.
Your rights: You have the right to access, correct, delete ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, and port your data. To exercise your rights, email rent@tovari.me.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission for Personal Data Protection (Bulgaria: www.cpdp.bg) if you believe your rights have been violated.
Cookies
The tovari.me website uses cookies for the following purposes:
- Technical cookies — necessary for the site to function (session, security). No consent required.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 collects anonymised visit data (countries, browsers, traffic sources). IP addresses are truncated.
- Security cookies — Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection on form submissions.
You can manage or delete cookies from your browser settings at any time. Disabling technical cookies may impair site functionality.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of the Republic of Bulgaria. Any disputes arising from or related to them fall under the jurisdiction of the Sofia District Court or Sofia City Court, depending on the value of the claim.
Before going to court, we encourage you to contact us at rent@tovari.me — most issues are resolved quickly and informally.
Consumers may also refer disputes to the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Changes to these terms
The Lessor reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect from the date of publication on the website. Bookings made before a change is published remain subject to the terms in force at the time of booking.
We recommend reviewing this page periodically. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the document.
